Best known for her rip-roaring personality and deep voice, Tallulah Bankhead is one of the greatest stars of the American stage starring in such iconic plays as Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes in 1939 and Thorton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth in 1942. Her best film role came in Hitchcock's classic Lifeboat in 1944.
