Known by such nicknames as Attila the Nun and Saint Loretta, Loretta Young was famous for being a devout Catholic and beatific demeanor. However, she had an affair with Clark Gable during the filming of Call of the Wild that produced an illegitimate daughter. To ward off scandal, Loretta had her daughter in seclusion and told everyone that the girl had been adopted. It wasn't until years later that the truth came out.
