Jean Harlow
taken in c. 1932 by George Hurrell. Printed Later.
Stamp Signed Silver Gelatin mounted on boardThis is a beautiful print in excellent condition; a FANTASTIC SHOT of Jean! One of our personal favorites... An incredible example of Hurrell's work!
One of the reasons Harlow is such a lasting icon in film is that she was taken from the world at such a young age. She died at 26 from uremic poisoning while filming 1937's Saratoga. As a testament to her popularity among the American public, Saratoga became a smash and broke numerous box office records, mostly because moviegoers wanted to see Harlow one last time.
