This photo was taken shortly after Bogart got his big break in the film The Petrified Forest (1936).

One of the greatest stars in film history, Bogart starred in some of the greatest films of the silver screen. Among these classics are The Maltese Falcon (1941), Casablanca (1942), To Have and Have Not (1944), Key Largo (1948), and The African Queen (1951), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor.
