These two screen legends appeared only in one movie together, 1932's Best Picture winner Grand Hotel, but they make the most of their time together on screen. The star power from these icons is blinding.

John Barrymore, who was known for his perfect profile, starred in such diverse films as 1931's Svengali, 1932's Rasputin and the Empress, 1933's Dinner at Eight, and 1936's Romeo and Juliet.

Greta Garbo immortalized herself with her husky voice and mysterious aura in films like 1927's Flesh and the Devil, 1930's Anna Christie, 1935's Anna Karenina, 1937's Camille, and 1939's Ninotchka, in which she was surprisingly funny.
