Greta Garbo
taken in 1930 by George Hurrell. Printed Later.
Stamp Signed (8x10 is mounted on archival board) Silver GelatinThis is a beautiful print in excellent condition; printed on double weight matte finish Agfa paper. An incredible example of Hurrell's work! Shots of Garbo by Hurrell are extraordinarily rare!
From Romance, Garbo portrayed singer Madame Rita Cavallini.
Garbo's favorite film of her own was 1937's Camille, which is high praise indeed since she was rarely pleased with her own work. Among Garbo's many nicknames were The Face and The Swedish Sphinx, and the Guinness Book of World Records once voted her as the most beautiful woman who ever lived. Looking at this picture, that is not hard to believe.
