Greta Garbo
taken in 1930 by George Hurrell. Printed Later.
Stamp Signed (36 Silver GelatinThis is a beautiful print in excellent condition; printed on double weight matte finish Agfa paper. (36x48 is mounted on board) One of the only times Hurrell shot Greta Garbo, from Greta as opera singer,Rita Cavallini in Romance, with Al St. Hilaire assisting him.
Part of what made Garbo so alluring is that enigmatic quality she had. It was a by-product of the way she lived her life off screen; she is one of the few stars who kept her private life totally private, and she guarded it fiercely. She is one star who's mystique was not a screen invention.
