Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck

taken in 1941 by George Hurrell. Vintage.

Stamp Signed Silver Gelatin

This is a beautiful print in very good condition, some edge wear, from Meet John Doe, one of Frank Capra's best films and two of Hurrell's most beautiful subjects!

Gary Cooper's list of memorable films is endless. A few more of them are 1941's Ball of Fire, 1943's For Whom the Bell Tolls, and 1956's Friendly Persuasion.

Barbara Stanwyck is often called the Best Actress Never to Win an Oscar, and with good reason. The most versatile of actresses, she excelled in melodrama, comedy, film noir, suspense, and everything in between. She starred in such classics as 1937's Stella Dallas, 1941's The Lady Eve and Ball of Fire, and 1944's Double Indemnity. Although she didn't win a competitive Oscar, she did receive an honorary Oscar in 1982 for her body of work. She also won three Emmy's for her work on various television programs.
