One of the great leading men of the silver screen, Gary Cooper was the archetypal strong, silent type who perfectly embodied the essence of heroism. He starred in such classics as 1930's Morocco, 1936's Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, 1941's Sergeant York, 1942's The Pride of the Yankees, and 1952's High Noon. He won two Best Actor Oscars for his performances in Sergeant York and High Noon.
