Ann was busy in 1938: George photographed her often, and she appeared in nine films!
Ann Sheridan was the Oomph Girl, a moniker that propelled her star upwards. She was cast mostly in comedies, but also shined in more dramatic fare. A sampling of her films includes 1938's Angels with Dirty Faces, 1940's Torrid Zone, 1941's The Man Who Came to Dinner, 1942's Kings Row, and 1949's I Was a Male War Bride.
