This is a beautiful print in excellent condition; printed on double weight matte finish paper. (36x48 is mounted on board) An amazing example of Hurrell's work.
Clark Gable immortalized himself as a Hollywood legend with his role as Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind, which ironically is a role he didn't want to play. He shot to stardom in 1931 as a gangster in A Free Soul and continued his success with 1932's Red Dust, 1934's classic It Happened One Night (for which he won a Best Actor Oscar), and 1935's Mutiny on the Bounty before being cast as Rhett. Fun tidbit: his shirtless scene in It Happened One Night caused undersirt sales to drop.
